The photographs in this gallery are all photographs of doors and windows taken principally in France and Mexico. It's abit of a cliche and more than a few photographers exhibit such shots as "art" but doors and windows have character, particularly when old and weather beaten. It's also true to say that doors and window frames reflect much of the personality and culture of their owners. There is something engaging about the colours and styles that you come across - not the sterile, plastic, double glazed modern features but the aged, decaying wood and peeling paint or the brightly coloured that you find in cities & towns with history and character.
These shots are a mixture of black & white, colour slide, digital, 35mm and 120mm and I will add more shots as and when I get the chance. In the meantime I hope you enjoy the photos on show. Click on the thumbnails to view the full size image.
