Landscape Photo gallery

This is a gallery of landscape photographs taken over a number of years. The photographs are in no particular order - I have not sorted them by either location, date or format. Many of these images are black & white and represent some of my earliest attempts at landscape photography.

The images of the Cornish coast and Derwent Water represent some of my earlier work - black and white 35mm film processed in my spare bedroom. The photos of Corsica are my first foray into medium format film. I lugged a Mamiya 330 plus tripod etc, over the Corsican haute route which half killed me. The results were not bad, but I sent the films away for development and they came back scratched and looking like somebody had danced over them. They were useless for printing and it wasn't until I painstakingly retouched the scanned negatives using Photoshop that I was able to get some half decent images.

Adams Wood in fog is one of my favourite shots from one of my favourite areas, the Chiltern hills in England. The last photograph of Kew Gardens is the only digital image in this gallery - I like the way the camera has captured the Autumn sunshine and colours.

I will put up more galleries as I re-work some of my older photographs. I have tried to keep the gallery varied with a mixture of formats, and places that hopefully will make it more interesting for the viewer.
