Photographs of Mont St Michel

These photographs of Mont St Michel were taken during a trip to Normandy in March 2008. The weather was less than kind giving the old gothic monastery a dramatic almost foreboding feel, ideal for black & white photography. At the end of the day, however, the sun did smile on us, lighting up the islet as we left.
