Photographs of Xian

This is the first gallery of photographs taken during a recent three week trip to China. Xian is famous as the first capital of China and the burial place of it's first emperor, who surrounded his tomb with the famous terra cotta army. More Chinese galleries will follow shortly.

These photographs were taken with my new Nikon D40 with a 18-20mm VR lens. And mighty pleased with it I am too I must say...
